Northbound Decatur at Washington reopens after oil spill

Decatur Boulevard’s northbound lanes have re-opened between Washington Avenue and Lake Mead Boulevard after being temporarily closed due to a large oil slick Thursday afternoon, Las Vegas police said.

Slippery roads caused a few vehicular accidents about 1:30 p.m. and three people were transported to nearby hospitals. Nobody was seriously injured, said Las Vegas police officer Laura Meltzer.

The large slick was caused by a hydraulic fluid leak from a vehicle, most likely a truck.
