4-year-old child struck, injured by car in Las Vegas

A young child was hit and injured by a car in the central valley Friday morning.

Las Vegas police received reports of the crash in the 3700 block of Bonanza Road, near the intersection with Pecos Road, about 11 a.m., a police spokesman said.

The 4-year-old was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The site had been cleared by police by 1:30 p.m.

This was the second pedestrian crash involving children in the area in 24 hours. A 2-year-old child was struck by a van and killed on Pecos Road near Dillon Avenue Thursday night.
