Boy hospitalized after accident in Northeast Las Vegas

A North Las Vegas auto-bicycle collision sent a 12-year-old boy to the hospital Friday night.

A man was driving recklessly through a neighborhood near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road when he hit a boy on a bicycle, according to Las Vegas police.

The driver then made a U-turn, said Sgt. Roger Price, driving recklessly back in the same direction. A neighbor fired multiple rounds at the vehicle, missing.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
