Teen argues with mom, jumps from moving car on I-15

A 17-year-old girl jumped out of a moving car on Interstate 15 after arguing with her mom, the Nevada Highway Patrol said Thursday.

The girl’s exit happened about 1:30 p.m. and snarled traffic on the highway as the investigation shut down three northbound lanes at Charleston Boulevard for more than an hour.

Trooper Jeremie Elliott said the woman was taken to University Medical center in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.

It is unknown how fast the car was traveling.
