Dining Pick of the Week: Streets of New York
February 14, 2014 - 9:05 am
Streets of New York
7570 Norman Rockwell Lane between Farm and Tule Springs roads; 702-221-1010
Say New York, and pizza comes to mind with its traditional thin and crispy crust. The flagship is the New York Combo with Italian sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, black olives and lots of mozzarella. Create your own pie with a host of toppings or ask for a gluten-free, thin-crust pizza. You can also create your own pasta entree by selecting a pasta, a sauce (presto, Alfredo, marinara), vegetable and meat (garlic chicken, meatballs, sausage). Pasta specialties include Lorrie’s Lasagna, baked ziti, cheese ravioli, chicken pesto with penne, and eggplant rollatini. There are hot and cold subs such as Italian beef, chicken parmigiana, ham and Provolone, hot pastrami, Vegetarian Delight, New York cheesesteak, and The Best of Everything, the restaurants’ signature sub where capicola ham, Genoa salami and Swiss are baked and served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pepperoncini and Streets Special Dressing. There are soups (minestrone, Italian wedding), salads (Gorgonzola pear, Greek, Caesar, spinach, chopped antipasto) and desserts including New York cherry cheesecake, five-layer chocolate cake and chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream. Pizzas start at $8.95. Streets of New York is open from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
