Man shot multiple times, neighbor wounded by stray bullet

A man was shot several times and a neighbor was wounded at an apartment complex Wednesday night near Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue.

Multiple suspects kicked in the door in the Bermuda Arms apartments in the 400 block of Naples Drive about 11:15 p.m. and shot the resident several times. He was critically injured but is expected to survive, Las Vegas police spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

His neighbor was also wounded by a bullet that passed through the wall. The neighbor was transported to the hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, police said.

There have not been any arrests and police are still investigating the incident.
