Woman tells police she killed pimp in self-defense

A woman arrested on a murder charge Saturday said she killed her pimp in self-defense, according to police reports.

Lisa Renee Davis, 43, told police she stabbed Sheldon Wesley in the home they had shared near Washington Avenue and Cimarron Road after he threatened to kill her, according to her arrest report.

Davis had been working as a prostitute and Wesley had been her pimp, but they were also in a relationship, according to the report.

After Davis moved out, she went back to Wesley’s house at 1009 Allure Drive and tried to retrieve her belongings. She said once she was inside, Wesley wouldn’t let her leave the house. Wesley tried to attack her and she stabbed him in the chest, according to her statement.

Police found two stab wounds in Wesley’s body and evidence at the scene showed that a struggle occurred.

Davis faces a charge of murder with a deadly weapon.
