A woman slammed her car into a Mesquite Police patrol car early Saturday morning.
At about 5:40 a.m., an officer was driving southwest on Hillside Drive near Sandhill Boulevard when his car was struck by a vehicle leaving Peggy Sue’s restaurant parking lot.
Both the officer and the driver of the car were transported to Mesa View Hospital with minor injuries and were released.
The woman faces charges of driving under the influence.
