Las Vegas Metro Chamber subleases headquarters to SolarCity

The Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce has found a new home.

The Chamber, which has been located at Town Square for five years, will open for business Monday at Centra Point at 8363 W. Sunset Blvd., Suite 250, near the Las Vegas Beltway and South Durango Drive, according to a letter to its members.

Kristin McMillian, president and CEO, said the Metro Chamber board decided to sublease its current space to SolarCity, who is expanding its operations to Las Vegas. Based in San Mateo, Calif., SolarCity is a solar energy systems company employing 2,800 workers in 15 states.

“As an essential partner in our community’s economic development efforts, the Metro Chamber is proud to help this endeavor by providing a site that fits the needs of this expanding company so they can get their operations up-and-running in short order and hire new workers in our community,” McMillian wrote.
