Weekend to be a wet one in Las Vegas Valley

Las Vegas residents might want to keep their umbrellas out for the next few days.

A rainstorm brought light rain to the valley on Thursday morning, but the brunt of the storm is expected to arrive today and bring half an inch of rain with it, according to the National Weather Service.

But that's not all. A second Pacific storm is forecast for Sunday and possibly Monday.

Forecasters said there will be a 20 percent chance of rain Monday, with a high of 57.

Warm air will keep snow levels on Mount Charleston and nearby mountains above 8,000 feet today and Saturday, but snow levels will drop to around 4,000 feet by Monday, they said.
