Caesars schedules three open houses to see model of East Boston casino

In an effort to garner support for their proposed $1 billion resort casino, Caesars Entertainment Corp. and their partner, Suffolk Downs, have scheduled a series of open houses for residents of East Boston and Revere.

The open houses, which will be April 10, 11 and 13 at the East Boston racetrack, were announced shortly after Wynn Resorts Ltd. released plans for Wynn Everett, a $1.5 billion resort it hopes to build next to the Mystic River in Massachusetts.

A third competitor, Crossroads Resort in Milford, Mass., is working with Las Vegas-based Warner Gaming. The Crossroads and Warner Gaming partnership has not released details of its planned casino.

“In our continuing effort to provide local residents with as much detail as possible about our development, this model offers a more tangible vision of what the property would look like and how local traffic conditions would be improved,” said Chip Tuttle, chief operating officer of Suffolk Downs, in a statement Thursday.
