Sale of casino in Biloxi set to close

BILOXI, Miss. - The sale of the Isle Casino to Landry's Golden Nugget could close at any time. On Thursday, the Biloxi City Council approved reassigning leases for city land at Point Cadet to Landry's Golden Nugget.

The sale of the Isle Casino to Golden Nugget was announced in March. The casino will become the Golden Nugget Biloxi. Renovation and construction will begin in January and a team is in Biloxi to meet with the city's Community Development department.

Jeff Cantwell, senior vice president of development for Landry's, told the Sun Herald that enough of the renovations should be completed by June to rebrand the casino resort.
