Biden postpones Las Vegas appearance, will be in Reno on Wednesday

Vice President Joe Biden's campaign stop in Nevada this week has been postponed by a couple of days, President Barack Obama's campaign announced Sunday night.

Biden will campaign on Wednesday in Reno instead of Monday. And Biden's visit to Las Vegas will be rescheduled as well, although no new day was announced. No additional details were immediately available.

Biden had been planning to speak at a rally Tuesday at the Events Center at the Culinary Academy of Las Vegas, a training facility for union workers associated with Strip casino properties.

Instead, on Tuesday, Biden will be in Pennsylvania to attend the funeral for former U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter, the White House said.

Biden's visit to Nevada will come just days before early voting begins Saturday ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

Biden also is scheduled to campaign in two other battleground states this week. He will be in Greeley, Colo., on Wednesday before traveling to Reno, and he will be in Florida on Friday.
