Pink’s Hot Dogs to open at Red Rock Resort

Pink's Hot Dogs will open its second Las Vegas location - at Red Rock Resort - in mid-December.

The other Las Vegas location is at Planet Hollywood.

Through Twitter, the Los Angeles-based company said the new restaurant will employ about 25 people.

Replacing the Bagel Cafe, Pink's will be in a 2,000-square-foot spot near the casino's poker room and race and sports book.

Pink's touts itself as "the most famous hot dog stand in the country ... certainly in Los Angeles!" on its website. The original location, which was started by Paul Pink, has been near the corner of Melrose and La Brea avenues in Los Angeles since 1939.

The website notes that Pink's is the home of "the world's best chili dog." The standard chili dog with mustard, chili and onions goes for $3.45. A Polish pastrami Swiss cheese dog is $6.25.

Other locations around the country include Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio; Harrah's Rincon near San Diego; Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif.; inside the Bradley International Terminal at the Los Angeles International Airport; and at Universal City Walk in Los Angeles.
