Water Cooler: Cardboard ‘wedding,’ royal baby, Shania scents

Here are a few things in news, entertainment and pop culture that caught our eye recently.

■ A UNLV grad student plans to "marry" a life-sized cardboard cutout of a "Twilight" heartthrob as part of her master's thesis project. Not all that different from teenage boys who "date" Playboy centerfolds.

■ Buckingham Palace confirms that Prince William and his wife, Kate, are expecting their first child, who will be third in line to the throne. Little-known royal perk: The kid automatically will be declared winner of every schoolyard "king of the hill" game he plays.

■ Shania Twain premieres a show at Caesars Palace that includes piped-in scents. Aficionados of cheapie horror flicks await the life-size, inflatable figure of Shania flying over the audience that's sure to come next.
