PICK OF THE WEEK:
JUDIT'S BISTRO
5625 S. Rainbow Blvd. at West Russell Road, 227-0777
In today's world of restaurants, just about anything goes. Judit Cseke is comfortable with that, as her eclectic menu includes pizza, beef goulash and Buffalo wings. Create your own hand-tossed pizza or order a specialty pie such as chicken Alfredo, Super Cheese (mozzarella, cheddar, Monterey Jack, Parmesan), chicken pesto or Meat Lovers (pepperoni, sausage, meatball, onions, salami, bacon, mushrooms). Specialties are beef goulash and Hungarian chicken paprikash, a dark and white meat stew with paprika and sour cream, served with homemade egg noodles and cucumber salad. Several pasta entrees are baked ziti, lasagna with ground beef or spinach, fettucini Alfredo with chicken and spaghetti marinara (meatballs optional). Popular salads include albacore tuna with celery, red bell peppers and onions in light mayonnaise topped with fruit. Featured sandwiches are tuna melt with Swiss, meatball parmigiana, California (grilled chicken breast, avocado, tomato, melted mozzarella), beef or chicken Philly steaks and Italian sausage. Tasty desserts include tiramisu and cannoli. Pizzas begin at $9.99 and sandwiches at $6.99. Judit's Bistro is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. - Jack Bulavsky
