Springs Preserve is going to host a free ‘Star Wars’-inspired event

If you’ve wanted to visit Tatooine, you don’t have to travel that far to get a similar experience.

The Springs Preserve is transforming into a galaxy (not so) far, far away and offering free admission to visit.

During the “Star Wars”-inspired event, “Springs Preserve Strikes Back,” guests can mingle with their favorite characters and attend a Jedi training course (offered daily at 2:30 or 3:30 p.m.).

Padawans in attendance can also create their own Jedi robe or light saber for additional $3 fee each, the organization said.

Springs Preserve Strikes Back is free to attend June 27 through 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Springs Preserve campus, 333 S. Valley View Blvd.

Guests are invited to come dressed as their favorite characters. Adults should not wear full-face masks.
