Sometimes real life is just too funny. American liberals think national health care is the best thing since sliced bread and advocate it at every turn.

Now comes Meredith Viera, NBC personality who fits the profile of the political creatures about which we speak.

In London for the Olympics she hurts her thumb, requiring surgery. And where does she wind up? Not the British National Health Service, but a private doctor.
