Applied Analysis enters collaboration agreement

The Applied Analysis business advisory firm of Las Vegas has entered an agreement with Discovery Research Group to form Discovery Nevada, an entity that will provide market research surveys and analytics.

Discovery Research Group and Applied Analysis have collaborated on other projects in recent years. However, most of the primary research has been behind-the-scenes efforts or small pieces of larger initiatives.

Discovery Nevada reflects the companies' belief that a local presence is needed to develop business opportunities and capitalize on Nevada's ability to draw more than 50 million visitors from around the world, Applied Analysis principal Jeremy Aguero said Wednesday.

Salt Lake City-based Discovery Research Group has conducted more than 1 million telephone interviews over the past two years from more than 600 call center stations in Utah, Idaho and Colorado. It also owns and operates a bilingual call center in Costa Rica.

The company's president, Vaughn Mordecai, now serves on the national board of directors for the Market Research Association.
