Providence hosts fireworks show

Fourth of July is just around the corner, so it's not too early to think about where you want to celebrate Independence Day with your family and friends. The new Knickerbocker Park in the Providence master-planned community provides an ideal location for fireworks and spectacular views of the entire Las Vegas Valley with its high vantage point in the northwest.

Additionally, the Providence design is rooted in the traditions of small town America - perfect for family fun, picnics, park activities and more.

Sponsored by the community of Providence and its homeowners association, a free fireworks show will begin at 9:15 p.m. July 4 at Knickerbocker Park, located at 10695 Dorrell Lane. The entrance to the community is located at 7051 N. Hualapai Way, just off the Las Vegas Beltway.

Pyrotecnico, one of the country's most creative fireworks display, pyrotechnics and special effects companies, is creating the special Fourth of July show. The 10-minute show is expected to incorporate multicolor, pattern, color-changing and special effects shells and barrages to the music of favorite patriotic songs.

Providence residents and others in the community are invited to come early and bring picnic baskets, chairs and coolers to enjoy the show. No alcohol or glass is permitted in the park.

Attendees also are welcome to enjoy the new $2.2 million, 15-acre park amenities. They include play areas, swing set, dog park, splash pad, youth baseball field, multiuse events field, jogging path with exercise stations and picnic areas.
