Shea Homes at Ardiente caters to baby boomers

During the past 60 days, Shea Homes Active Lifestyle Communities has experienced its highest home sales rate since 2008, according to company officials.

Age-qualified buyers at Shea Homes at Ardiente in North Las Vegas have embraced the community, taking advantage of the affordability, green features and amenities, said Ryan Smith, an Ardiente sales agent.

New-home prices in this community start in the $150,000s.

Shea Homes recently announced its carefree living program, SheaXero: the no electric bill home. These super energy-efficient homes with solar systems included in the home's price eliminate electric bills, Smith said.

Shea Homes at Ardiente residents can combat the high electricity costs in the desert heat by saving as much as $3,000 a year in monthly electricity bills, Smith said.

In addition to generating as much electricity as the home uses, SheaXero homes come standard with top-of-the-line energy-saving features such as Jenn-Air Energy Star Appliances, energy-efficient Trane heating and cooling systems, low-emission vinyl windows and high-performance insulation.

"We know how important it is for our customers to save money. But it's not just about the substantial savings, it's the peace of mind our customers enjoy by not worrying about escalating energy costs," Smith said.

It's estimated that this year, owners of SheaXero homes across the country will save $594,000 in electricity costs, Smith said.

Each home has Trilogy's award-winning design, including natural light, open floor plans, ergonomic vanity countertops and five-sided architecture.

Amenities at Shea Homes at Ardiente reflect the needs of the baby boom generation, including business services, world-class clubs, fitness facilities and diverse recreation and education opportunities.
