Introductory muzzleloading class scheduled for March 17

The Nevada Department of Wildlife will host an introductory muzzleloading class at noon on March 17 at the Clark County Shooting Range.

The class is free and all equipment will be provided. Students will not be permitted to use their own muzzleloading firearms.

The class will include a lecture on the types of muzzleloading rifles, a discussion about safety and a demonstration of loading and shooting techniques. Participants can load and shoot flintlock, percussion cap and modern in-line rifles.

Reservations will be accepted beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday; call Brooke Van Haitsma at 486-5127, extension 3213.
