Worth a Drive

n An introduction to raku-style Japanese pottery is planned for 6 p.m. Thursday and noon Saturday at Pottery West, 5026 N. Pioneer Way. Premade pottery is to be available for public purchase and glaze. The fee to participate is $10. Pieces must be previously bisque-fired to be included in the raku pit fire. Plan ahead

n Help solve a mystery at the Resort on Mount Charleston during "A Touch of Mystery, the Mystery at Mount Charleston Saloon," planned for 6 p.m. Nov. 19 at 2 Kyle Canyon Road. Actors and the audience become part of the mystery experience during the event. The fee is $87, which includes dinner.

A second package, which includes two entries to a pre-dinner wine and cheese mixer at 5 p.m., two dinner tickets and a standard hotel room, is $280 per couple. The pre-dinner mixer offers a chance to interact with the actors and get some early clues. The rate for a second-night stay is $49.90. Any extra dinner tickets are $87 each. n The Jewish Repertory Theatre of Nevada plans to present "Light Up The Sky" Nov. 16-20 at the Adelson Educational Campus auditorium, 9700 W. Hillpointe Road. n The Las Vegas chapter of Brandeis National Committee plans to host its Fall Fashion Fling at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at Bear's Best Las Vegas, 1111 W. Flamingo Road. Doors are set to open at 11 a.m. and the lunch to begin at noon. Brandeis members will model fashions from dressbarn and talk about upcoming fashion trends.
