Curtis’ house, with studio, up for sale

The late Tony Curtis' beloved estate and art studio on Millionaire Row in Sun City Anthem is up for sale.

The film legend, who died at age 85 last September, lived with his wife, Jill, for almost a decade in the house, which overlooks Las Vegas.

The 4,000-square-foot residence includes a 434-square-foot art studio. Some of Curtis' artwork is still hanging in the house and is negotiable.

"The view is quintessential Las Vegas," said Jamie Lium of Shapiro & Sher Group. The house has been listed since Friday .

An ornate Italian floral mosaic copied from one of Curtis' paintings was inlaid in the home's foyer.

Curtis was a huge admirer of Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani, who died at age 35 in 1920. While filming "Trapeze," Curtis visited many sites linked to Modigliani, who lived in Paris.

Curtis and his wife had planned to sell the house and move this year to Shiloh Horse Rescue and sanctuary, which they founded near Sandy Valley, south of Las Vegas.
