INTRODUCTORY COURSES

Two free fly-fishing classes
to be held at wildlife office

The Nevada Department of Wildlife has scheduled two free fly-fishing classes this month. One will be an introduction to the sport, and the other will teach fly tying.

The introductory course will be at 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday . The first session of the class will take place at the department's Las Vegas office, 4747 W. Vegas Drive, and will cover terminology, knot tying and equipment selection. The second session will feature hands-on casting instruction and take place at a park near the office.

The beginning fly-tying class will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at the department office.

The wildlife department will provide all equipment and materials needed for these classes. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call Ivy Santee at (702) 486-5127, ext. 3503.
