Jim Marsh Automotive, Veteran Motor Car Club of America host show

Spring is the season for car shows, and the High Rollers Chapter of the Veteran Motor Car Club of America is hosting its "Show & Shine," tomorrow at Jim Marsh Automotive on West Centennial Parkway from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Jim Marsh will be on hand to conduct free tours of his 44,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art collision and body shop, as well as his collection of Western United States artifacts and memorabilia. Approximately 60 to 70 cars will be on display at the 11.5-acre Kia, Mitsubishi and Suzuki dealership in northwest Las Vegas.

"I've belonged to the club for years and it's a great group," Marsh said. "They'll have cars here that cover the gamut of automotive history, from Corvettes to Model A's and T's and everything in between."

Amid the tours and car gazing, the event will also include prizes and awards for show participants, as well as drawings, refreshments and a raffle that boasts a grand prize of a two-night stay at the Longstreet Inn & Casino (www.Longstreet-Casino.com) in Armagosa Valley, courtesy of Marsh.

According to its website (www.vmcca.org), the Veteran Motor Car Club of America was founded in 1938 in Boston, Mass. It attracts owners of "later era" vehicles who are interested in driving their classic and antique automobiles. The VMCCA, of which the High Rollers is the Southern Nevada chapter, is a worldwide, 3,000-member club, dedicated to the acquisition, preservation, restoration and exhibition of antique automobiles.

Jim Marsh Automotive is located at 8555 W. Centennial Pkwy., off I-95 and the 215 Beltway. For visit www.jimmarsh.com.
