Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run accident on Maryland Parkway

A 53-year-old man was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run collision in the eastern valley.

Las Vegas police said the man was crossing Maryland Parkway just north of Desert Inn Road about 9:40 p.m. when he was struck by a dark sedan traveling south. The sedan then drove off.

The man, who was not in a marked crosswalk when he was struck, died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.
