Nora’s Wine Bar files for bankruptcy protection

Nora's Wine Bar and Osteria is seeking Chapter 11 protection.

Ryan Works from McDonald Carano Wilson filed Friday on behalf of the company . The case was assigned to U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Nevada Judge Linda Riegle. Chapter 11, if granted, protects businesses or individuals from creditors while they reorganize their finances.

Nora's Wine Bar and Osteria is still open for business at 1031 S. Rampart Blvd. Owner Marcell Mauro said in an email that the restaurant is restructuring its debt and will remain open.

The creditor holding the largest unsecured claim is Rampart Commons, the restaurant's lease holder, at $23,287.71.
