Man, 26, arrested as suspect in fires at Mormon churches

SOUTH SALT LAKE, Utah -- South Salt Lake authorities have arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with the fires at two Mormon church buildings and a vacant home.

Patrick Ehat of Salt Lake City was arrested Sunday morning and booked into jail, The Salt Lake Tribune said. South Salt Lake police Detective Gary Keller said no motive has been found.

Firefighters put out blazes at two Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meeting houses Saturday morning. The house fire erupted a short time later.
