Truck driver, 52, killed in crash on Las Vegas Beltway

A big-rig driver who might have suffered a medical episode died on a North Las Vegas roadway Monday afternoon.

North Las Vegas police said the 52-year-old man was driving a white 2006 Freightliner and traveling east on the Las Vegas Beltway. On the exit ramp to Lamb Boulevard, he failed to negotiate the curve, veered off the roadway and struck a fence at 3:47 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
