Man dies in drive-by shooting in northeast valley

A man died after being shot in the neck during a drive-by shooting in a northeast valley neighborhood Saturday night.

The victim was at a house on the 4100 block of Ripple River Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Lamb Boulevard. Las Vegas police said a dispute between several people took place at the house and a Hispanic man was asked to leave.

Witnesses told police that the man returned a short time later in a car and fired multiple rounds into the house at 10:34 p.m. The victim was shot in the neck and died at University Medical Center.

A second victim was shot in the shoulder. Police said he was listed in stable condition at UMC.

The names of the victims were not released.

The suspect fled the scene in the car, but police do not have a description of the vehicle or the suspect.
