Apartment fire displaces four people

A fire at a South Decatur Boulevard apartment building displaced four people Sunday evening, the Clark County Fire Department said.

Firefighters from the Clark County and Las Vegas Fire Departments responded at about 6:30 p.m., to a report of a fire at an apartment building at 2655 S. Decatur Blvd., south of West Sahara Boulevard, the Clark County Fire Department said in a statement.

Arriving crews saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the building’s first and second floors, the statement said. Crews knocked the fire down within minutes and ventilated the structure.

The Red Cross is helping the four residents displaced. Another family was relocated by the apartment management, the department said.

No injuries were reported, the department said; the fire’s cause is undetermined.
