Henderson girl, 2, drowns in home swimming pool

A 2-year-old girl drowned in the swimming pool of her Henderson home Wednesday afternoon.

The Clark County coroner's office identified the girl as Iysha Rebecca Kruyer, of Henderson.

The girl was pronounced dead shortly after police were called to 944 San Carlos Creek Lane, near Horizon Drive and Boulder Highway, police spokesman Todd Rasmussen said.

The incident, which has been ruled an accidental drowning, happened around 4:35 p.m. Wednesday.

It was the third drowning in Henderson this year. Seven people have drowned in Las Vegas so far this year.
