23-year-old woman arrested in connection with bar slaying

A 23-year-old woman was arrested this past weekend and accused of having a role in the slaying of man who died July 6 in a southwest Las Vegas bar fight.

According to Clark County Detention Center records, Pei Pei is being held without bail on charges of murder with a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit murder and extortion. She was arrested Saturday.

A police report said Pei was the getaway driver, when her boyfriend, Xiao Ye Bai, 22, walked into the Forbes KTV Karaoke Bar and Restaurant, 3400 S. Jones Blvd., near Desert Inn Road, and fatally stabbed 45-year-old Jun Li.

Las Vegas police arrested Bai on Friday on a Los Angeles charge of murder with a deadly weapon, the report said.

Pei told police that Li owed her boyfriend "a lot of money and that she and Bai needed the money," the report said.
