One killed, two injured in Las Vegas shooting

One person was killed this afternoon in a shooting in the 5000 block of Edna Avenue near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Sahara Avenue.

Two other people were transported to area hospitals.

The victim died at the scene, Las Vegas police said.

Police would not reveal the identities, ages or any other information about the suspects or victims, citing an ongoing investigation.

Two schools were placed on lockdown about 2:15 p.m. — Roundy and Wynn elementary schools — and Lee Boys Club also was locked down.

And police blocked off Edna between Decatur and Edmond Street for the investigation.
