VIEW TUBE: Reggae artists record songs to benefit Habitat for Humanity

Music producer and reggae enthusiast Steve Edwards was hoping for a twist no one would see coming when he released "A New Day," an album he compiled from six local and seven national reggae artists. The album would fuse the calming sounds of reggae with the philanthropic goal of raising money for Habitat for Humanity.

Edwards released the CD at Reggae in the Desert on June 13.

Among the 14 tracks on the disk are "Try a New Way" by Bob David, "World Crisis" by Ritchie Spice, "Homeless People" by Kronik, "Wake Up" by Michael Black, "I'm Not Afraid" by Etana and "Jah Is Right on Time" by Mackie Conscious. For more information or to purchase the CD for $15, visit www.reggaeting.com.
