CHILI ENTRANTS STILL BEING TAKEN

There's still time to enter the Review-Journal Chili Cookoff, for a chance to become locally famous -- and possibly win $100.

We're inviting amateur chili cooks out there to share a copy of their recipe, understanding that it could be published in the newspaper and online. Include name and daytime telephone number and mail to Chili Cookoff, c/o Heidi Knapp Rinella, Las Vegas Review-Journal, P.O. Box 70, Las Vegas, NV 89125-0070, or fax it to her at 383-4676, or e-mail it to hrinella@reviewjournal. com, with "Chili Cookoff" in the subject line.

Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Monday. Finalists will be asked to bring a pot of their chili to the R-J office, 1111 W. Bonanza Road, on Jan. 19, for evaluation by a panel of independent judges. Entries will be judged on flavor, texture, creativity, heat factor and appearance.
