Activists rally for minimum wage increases, workers’ rights in Vegas — PHOTOS

Fast-food workers and activists gathered in Las Vegas and across the nation to push for workers’ rights and minimum wage increases.

Demonstrators gathered outside of a McDonald’s at Flamingo Road and Eastern Avenue where they crowded a sidewalk and were met with occasional honks of support from passing traffic.

The protestors then gathered in the parking lot and chanted along to “We’re Not Gonna Take It” by rock band Twisted Sister, before hopping on a bus to attend a hearing at the Sawyer Building regarding Assembly Bill 190, which would make changes to the Public Employees Retirement System for future hires.

A demonstration is also slated for 4 p.m. at College of Southern Nevada’s West Charleston campus.
