American Pacific’s net falls

American Pacific Corp., a Las Vegas-based chemical manufacturer, reported on Tuesday that net income decreased to $128,000 from $606,000 a year ago.

Earnings per share for the three months ending June 30 were 2 cents, down from 8 cents in the same period last year. Revenues decreased 16 percent to $36.7 million.

The company expects $7.5 million in net income and $195 million in revenues for the year.

Capital expenditures are expected to total $16 million.

Shares in American Pacific rose 31 cents, or 1.9 percent, Tuesday to close at $16.36 on the Nasdaq National Market.
