Attendance rises 11 percent at Exhibitor2011 trade show

Exhibitor2011, a trade show about trade shows, added to the list of indicators that the convention and meeting sector will rebound in the coming year.

The 5,284 people who registered for Exhibitor2011, which ran last week at Mandalay Bay, marked an 11 percent increase from last year.

The 52,500 square feet of exhibit floor space that were rented was only 2 percent higher than last year, spokesman Wayne Dunham said. More than 50 companies took the large booths that are called islands, but many of the 55 new companies took the smallest size.
