Bank of Nevada elevates Guedry to role of CEO

Bank of Nevada has elevated John Guedry to the position of CEO.

Guedry follows longtime banking leader Bruce Hendricks in the top role at Bank of Nevada. Hendricks had guided the bank for 10 years and retired in 2015. Bank of Nevada is part of $10 billion Western Alliance Bancorporation, one of the fastest-growing bank holding companies in the United States.

“John is the right leader to build on our commitment to our customers to deliver expert bankers and specialized banking products that help their businesses grow,” Robert Sarver, chairman and CEO of Western Alliance Bancorporation, said in a statement. “Like everyone at Bank of Nevada, John is guided by the distinct needs of our clients, and is positioning our bank to know more and do more for our customers.”

The CEO role is a promotion for Guedry, who has been president and chief operating officer of Bank of Nevada since 2011.

Prior to joining Bank of Nevada, he was CEO and president of Business Bank of Nevada before its purchase in 2007 by City National Bank, where he continued as executive vice president before joining CB Richard Ellis as a managing partner.
