Caesars Entertainment is spreading the World Series of Poker across Europe’s Internet gaming landscape.
The company, which has operated a World Series of Poker-branded website in the United Kingdom in partnership with Dragonfish since 2009, was approved for an Internet gaming site in France.
The company, through Caesars Interactive Entertainment, and Groupe Lucien Barrière, were awarded an online gaming license by French regulator ARJEL.
The deal was announced last week in conjunction with the moving the World Series of Poker Europe from London to Barriere’s Cannes casino.
Caesars Entertainment also has an agreement with Italian network Microgame in December to bring the World Series of Poker brand to both online and land-based poker in Italy.
