Caesars Horseshoe in Baltimore curtailing hours for curfew

Caesars Entertainment’s Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore is closing overnight to meet the city’s 10 p.m. curfew prompted by riots related to the death of Freddie Gray.

The normally 24-hour casino will close at 9 p.m. and reopen at 8 a.m. while the curfew is in effect, The Baltimore Sun reports.

Baltimore officials set the curfew that started Tuesday following Monday’s rioting, which saw buildings and cars burned as rioters clashed with police.

Riots started after 25-year-old African-American, Gray, died from spinal injuries he sustained while in police custody April 19. Baltimore police are conducting an investigation and say they will conclude their report by the end of the week.

All city schools and courts are among facilities closed because of the riots.

Calls to Las Vegas-based Caesars Entertainment from the Review-Journal were not immediately returned.
