Johnson to continue as general manager of LVH
June 24, 2013 - 12:54 pm
Ronald Johnson will continue as the general manager of the off-Strip LVH following the end of his tenure as a court-appointed receiver on Sunday.
Johnson, a gaming veteran who did a 15-year stint in management at the Riviera, was installed as receiver in February 2012 after the former controlling owner, an affiliate of Colony Capital LLC, defaulted on
the loan on what was then called the Las Vegas Hilton. An affiliate of Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs and the New York-based real estate investment firm Gramercy Capital Corp. took over the resort in
November. After that, Johnson served as general manager and receiver, the latter role to clean up certain tax and balance sheet issues.
The property has 2,950 rooms.
