William Hill on Wednesday opened its upgraded race and sports at the Edgewater casino in Laughlin, just in time for the start of the summer meet at Del Mar.
The completion of the sports book follows its March opening of the Plaza in downtown Las Vegas. William Hill, which operates 100 sports books in Nevada, declined to disclose construction costs.
The race and sports book features 64 television screens, including three 80-inch displays and 12 46-inch digital display boards over the wagering counter. The space also includes 25 carrels each with 19-inch screens.
“Horse players will enjoy the nicest, most comfortable race book amenities on the river,” said Joe Asher, CEO of Las Vegas-based William Hill U.S. “We look forward to continuing to provide the best race and sports experience in Laughlin.”
With the Edgewater, William Hill operates six race and sports books in Laughlin, including Tropicana Express, Colorado Belle, River Palms, Pioneer and Avi. The bookmaker also operates sports betting kiosks at each property.
