THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS POLL QUESTION

Log onto the Las Vegas Business Press Web site and let us hear your opinion on this week's question.

According to a recent news report, Rhode Island and Nebraska outlets of the fast-food chain KFC are selling the Double Down, consisting of two pieces of fried chicken enclosing two kinds of cheeses, bacon and a special sauce -- a sandwich sans the bread. The product is in tests, but could be offered nationwide. News of the sandwich comes as the country hotly debates health care. People on the left want a public option, allowing the government to compete against private insurers, hopefully lowering costs in the process. People on the right see the public option as a potential financial boondoggle, a la soon-to-be-bankrupt Medicare. Lost is discussion of how people's diet decisions affect their health or how offerings like KFC's can affect those choices.

Is there room in the health care debate for a hard look at how people live their daily lives, either by examining the food being offered in the marketplace or by examining their personal habits?
