THIS WEEK'S BUSINESS PRESS POLL QUESTION
Log on to the Las Vegas Business Press Web site and let us hear your opinion on this week's question.
Nevada's Assembly passed a bill that would give Nevada voters a direct say in electing presidents by dropping the current electoral vote system and requiring electors to vote for the candidate that wins the most popular votes across the nation. It is still unclear whether the bill will pass in the state Senate or if Gov. Jim Gibbons would veto a proposed law. Critics say the Electoral College system gives small states like Nevada more power in presidential elections and changing the current system would make them meaningless.
Would you support a law forcing electors to vote for the candidate that receives the most popular votes?
