Experience the action with images from these goggle-top cameras

Head-mounted cameras that capture your extreme fun, a design-your-own smartphone case and a collection of ecofriendly chargers and surge protectors highlight today's Net Notes.

For when your hands are too busy to hold a camera, but you want the pictures to be great, there's a series of goggle-mounted cameras to do the job. Whether you're on the ski slopes, diving beneath the waves or swimming in the triathlon, there's a way to get the picture or the movie from your perspective.

The Summit series ski goggles have a 5 megapixel camera mounted on the top of the frame directly above your nose. The camera goggles have 16 gigabytes of internal storage, which is enough for more than 22,000 still images or 320 minutes of video, or some combination of the two. The goggles have an integrated microphone to capture the sounds of the slopes and come with software compatible for PC computers only.

Liquid Image has similar offerings in swim goggles and offers five camera masks designed for serious divers. Its Web site features photos and videos produced with its products, several accessories including filters and lights, and dealer locations across the globe. Internet searches show models starting at about $64, topping out at about $250.

Case Mate

This company makes a wide range of protective and battery-charging products for popular smartphones, but its most notable offering gives customers the tools to design one-of-a-kind phone cases. Follow the link to "I Make My Case" to start. You'll find cases designed by seven well-known designers, but you don't have to choose one of their creations. Instead, you'll use elements of their design to create your own.

The experience is similar to NikeID, which lets customers use a palette of colors and textures to design athletic shoes. You'll see your creation in real time as you use the tools to manipulate the designs. I had the most fun with the kaleidoscope, mirror and colorization tools; I came up with several designs that I saved in my personal gallery. Designs are saved for two weeks, and can be shared via Facebook, Twitter or Flickr or downloaded to your desktop.

The price for the case is $39.99.

iGo

Vampire power, the energy drawn through devices that aren't turned on, costs Americans $10 billion yearly. IGo has a series of devices that virtually eliminate this drain, including the Power Smart Tower, Smart Wall outlets, laptop chargers and the portable Charge Anywhere, which has multiple tips.

Prices range from $49.99 to $129.99.
