Free social media seminars on tap next week in valley

The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Social Media SaaS, developers of the Social Office Suite, and Station Casinos will hold a series of seminars about effective use of social media in business next week.

The 90-minute free seminars will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Texas Station and at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Station.

The seminars will show the difference between social media and real-time brand management for a business and their use in supporting an organization in developing and implementing a successful social media strategy.

Seminar topics include basics of social media and its application to business; coverage of key concepts; a discussion of social computing policies, and why every business should have them. It also features a discussion on the importance of benchmarking and measuring your social media program; the right way to engage and collaborate with customers and partners; and implementing a social media marketing program.
