HealthCare Partners acquires Cardiovascular Consultants

HealthCare Partners of Nevada, the largest general medicine clinic in Las Vegas, has boosted its cardiology section through the acquisition of Cardiovascular Consultants of Nevada.

The 35-year old practice brings with it 20 physicians and six locations in Las Vegas, Henderson and Pahrump.

Financial terms weren't disclosed; the acquisition was announced Tuesday.

HealthCare Partners now has 52 locations with 270 physicians, not including affiliates. It is a division of HealthCare Partners LLC of Torrance, Calif.

HealthCare Partners of Nevada has grown in recent years through in-house expansion and by absorbing doctors who decided to give up solo or small group practice. Since the start of the year, HealthCare Partners has brought in six other physicians, including Dr. Stephen Portz, now chief of cardiology.
